Esta investigación hace parte de una línea de proyectos investigativos aliados a un macro proyecto del Grupo de investigación “Formación En Movimiento” que busca conocer y entender la realidad de la educación física en el municipio de Ibagué y contextualizarla en nuestra área de formación, todo ello con el objetivo de abordar la educación física desde todos los puntos que integran. El estudio de los enfoques curriculares de la educación física, en las instituciones educativas de básica secundaria y media vocacional del municipio de Ibagué es el punto de partida para esta investigación, con el fin de conocerlos y analizarlos, esta investigación se centralizó en las caracterizaciones de dichos enfoques en instituciones tanto oficiales como para las privadas, buscando así caracterizar los enfoques curriculares de las instituciones educativas teniendo como base lo que está escrito en lo que se refiere a la educación física ”PEI y planes de área”, además a través de la presente investigación se busca también determinar cuál es el enfoque curricular que más predomina en la educación física, en las instituciones educativas de básica secundaria y media vocacional en el municipio de Ibagué. Esta investigación es de tipo Descriptivo como subraya (Hernandez, Fernandez, & Baptista, 2010) Afirma: “Buscan especificar las propiedades, las características y los perfiles de personas, grupos, comunidades, procesos, objetos o cualquier otro fenómeno que se someta a un análisis” (p. 80). Además posee un enfoque de tipo cuantitativo, se utilizó como técnica el análisis documental, que parte del análisis de los enfoques curriculares en la educación de las instituciones educativas de básica secundaria y media vocacional del municipio de Ibagué. La caracterización de la investigación se realizó basado en la autora García, (2010) quien plantea en su libro la formación del profesorado de educación física, problemas y expectativas, como clasificar la educación física dentro cinco enfoques curriculares los cuales se podrían determinar teniendo en cuenta una serie de características que ella encontró en su estudio, dicha caracterización fue diseñada con el fin de identificar más fácil cada enfoque curricular, estas características tienen como punto de partida el entender cómo están planteados los objetivos, la metodología y que papel ocupa dentro del proceso de educación; el maestro y el alumno para así saber a qué enfoque curricular corresponde según sea el caso. Una vez interiorizado y analizado la propuesta de García, (2001) se pudo determinar cuáles enfoques curriculares son los que más predominan, y cuáles son los que menos predominan, en las instituciones educativas de Ibagué para el área de la educación física. En la investigación se determinó además, que había un enfoque más usado dependiendo si estábamos hablando el modo de plantear objetivos o metodologías o si estábamos haciendo referencia a la importancia y significancia de los docentes y alumnos.

This research is part of a line of research projects allies to seed macro research project "Training Movement" that seeks to know and understand the reality of physical education in the city of Ibague and contextualize in our training area, all in order to address the physical education from all the points on. The study of curricular approaches to physical education in educational institutions of secondary vocational middle of the town of Ibague basic and is the starting point for this research in order to know and analyze this research was centralized in characterizations these approaches in both official institutions and for private, seeking to characterize the curricular approaches of educational institutions on the basis of what is reflected in his theory as to what concerns the physical education "PEI and area plans" also through this research is also seeking to determine what most prevalent in physical education in educational institutions of secondary vocational average in the municipality of Ibague basic and curriculum approach. It also has a quantitative approach as it is a documentary analysis based on the recognition of curricular approaches in education and primarily in physical education in educational institutions of secondary vocational average basic and town of Ibague. The characterization of the research is based on Garcia, (2010) said author lodged in his book teacher training in physical education, problems and expectations, that physical education could be classified into five clear curricular approaches and these approaches could be determined taking into account a number of characteristics that she found in her study, such characterization was designed in order to better and easier identification of each curricular approach also these characteristics have as a starting point to understand how they are raised targets and methodology or role occupied within the educational process; the teacher and the student in order to know which corresponds curricular approach as appropriate. Once internalized and understood what Garcia, (2001) said it was possible determinate which curricular approaches are used by each of the schools that were part of the investigation to the final to determine which curriculum approaches predominate in the physical education in educational institutions of the city of Ibague; and also know what the least favorite in physical education in educational institutions of Ibague curricular approach. This research also clarified the role of the traditional approach in the current physical education in the ibaguereño context, in order to corroborate or contradict some recent research on physical education in the city of Ibague. In the investigation it was also determined that there was a beloved approach depending on whether we were talking about how to set objectives or methodologies or if we were referring to the importance and significance of teachers and students. As a result of the investigation it was determined that the theoretical area plans and PEI educational institutions pose the teaching of physical education focused on training students, innovative, participatory, socializing, creative, individualizing, which was contradicted by some teachers who argue that education should be a purely traditionalist approach.
