Los modelos curriculares son instrumentos mediante los cuales se presenta el proceso curricular que lleva una Institución Educativa – IE, lo cual permite analizar, diseñar e implementar y hacer seguimiento al mismo; es allí donde radica la importancia de dicha herramienta, en tal sentido, es claro que estos permiten realizar acciones que contribuyen al mejoramiento de la calidad de la educación, toda vez que su flexibilidad da lugar a diversos cambios o ajustes acordes a las necesidades de las comunidades educativas. El presente análisis comparativo a los modelos curriculares de la Institución Educativa Técnica Gabriela Mistral de Melgar y de la Institución Educativa Santa Teresa del Municipio del Líbano, departamento del Tolima, retoma la importancia de los modelos curriculares para la educación, ello a través de un estudio cualitativo con enfoque descriptivo, lo cual permita detectar las brechas educativas que limitan los procesos de enseñanza – aprendizaje y por ende afectan los logros académicos de los estudiantes y misionales de las IE´s. Inicialmente se llevó a cabo una revisión teórica y documental respecto al tema central de la investigación, con lo cual se obtuvo datos primarios y secundarios que complementados con la observación realizada por la investigadora, permitió detectar la problemática real que afecta las IE´s en relación a su modelo curricular, hallando que los modelos curriculares que actualmente guían a las IE´s no se siguen de forma estricta, dadas la complejidad del contexto educativo; siendo necesario establecer dinámicas que permitan a las I.E., mejorar la calidad de la prestación del servicio educativo público, mediante una adecuada orientación curricular para la formación de personas íntegras, que contribuyan al crecimiento y desarrollo regional.
Resumen
The curricular models are instruments through which the curricular process carried out by an Educational Institution - IE is presented, which allows analyzing, designing and implementing and monitoring it; It is there where the importance of this tool lies, in this sense, it is clear that they allow actions that contribute to the improvement of the quality of education to be carried out, since its flexibility gives rise to various changes or adjustments according to the needs of the educational communities. The present comparative analysis of the curricular models of the Gabriela Mistral de Melgar Technical Educational Institution and the Santa Teresa Educational Institution of the Municipality of Líbano, department of Tolima, takes up the importance of curricular models for education, through a study qualitative with a descriptive approach, which allows to detect the educational gaps that limit the teaching-learning processes and therefore affect the academic achievements of the students and missionaries of the IE's. Initially, a theoretical and documentary review was carried out regarding the central theme of the investigation, with which primary and secondary data were obtained, which, complemented with the observation made by the researcher, allowed to detect the real problem that affects EI's in relation to to its curricular model, finding that the curricular models that currently guide EIs are not strictly followed, given the complexity of the educational context; being necessary to establish dynamics that allow I.E., to improve the quality of the provision of public educational service, through an adequate curricular orientation for the formation of upright people, who contribute to regional growth and development..
