The Achiote (Bixa orellana) is an Amazonian shrub, native to tropical America; its main characteristic is the reddish pigment that covers the skin of its seeds, which is used as a dye not only in indigenous body painting but also in the food industry. The call of the Achiote is born of the internal fascination that gives me its intense color, the mystical attraction that surrounds the plant, the many traditions that have been built around it, as well as the concern that its memory tends to Disappear as a result of the influence of the Western world, without taking into account that it safeguards a cultural burden of great importance at the environmental, gastronomic, political and traditional level of the country and that is at risk of being lost irreversibly for the new generations . Thus, I claim to claim the memory of the plant as a resistance to its neglect, its marginalization and the silent displacement to which it is being subjected, as well as preserve the continuity of the living memory of the plant and thus restore its legacy today . For this reason, it is imperative to be seen and recognized as an intangible and natural good of Colombia. In this context, I propose an organic installation, where cubic pieces fantasize about the idea of the resistance of nature, following this channel above the human construct, imposing time and natural processes of decomposition of matter, in this case Ground achiote seeds, which reveal the state of memory and neglect to which this plant is subjugated. Yet his steady, perennial presence insists on remaining. Keywords: Memory, Achiote, Claim, Unknown, Organic matter.
