El trabajo titulado DUA una Estrategia para Potenciar la Enseñanza de las Matemáticas en la Institución Educativa Técnica General Santander del Municipio de Rioblanco Tolima , aborda la implementación del Diseño Universal para el Aprendizaje (DUA) en la enseñanza de matemáticas en una institución educativa en Rioblanco, Tolima. La propuesta se centra en mejo rar el entorno educativo haciéndolo más inclusivo y equitativo, adaptando la enseñanza a las diversas necesidades y estilos de aprendizaje de los estudiantes. En el contexto de la Institución Educativa Técnica General Santander, que ofrece educación desde el nivel preescolar hasta la educación técnica en agroindustrias alimentarias, se reconoce la importancia de las matemáticas tanto en la vida académica como cotidiana. Con 6 horas semanales dedicadas a esta área, la institución busca innovar en sus método s pedagógicos para incrementar el interés y el rendimiento de los estudiantes en matemáticas. El trabajo destaca la necesidad de transformación en la enseñanza de las matemáticas debido al bajo rendimiento en las pruebas Saber 5 en 2023, especialmente en esta área. La implementación del DUA se propone como una solución para eliminar barreras de aprendizaje y proporcionar múltiples formas de representación, expresión y participación, lo que podría aumentar la motivación y el éxito de los estudiantes en matemáticas. Se enfatiza la importancia del apoyo docente y la innovación pedagógica en la gestión académica para mejorar la calidad educativa y asegurar que todos los estudiantes tengan oportunidades equitativas de aprendizaje.

The work entitled DUA a Strategy to Enhance the Teaching of Mathematics in the General Santander Technical Educational Institution of the Muni cipality of Rioblanco Tolima , addresses the implementation of the Universal Design for Learning (DUA) in the teaching of mathematics in an educational institution in Rioblanco, Tolima. The proposal focuses on improving the educational environment by making it more inclusive and equitable, adapting teaching to the diverse needs and learning styles of students. In the context of the General Santander Technical Educational Institution, which offers education from preschool level to technical education in food agroindustries, the importance of mathematics is recognized in both academic and everyday life. With 6 hours per week dedicated to this subject, the institution seeks to innovate its pedagogical methods to increase the interest and performance of students in mathematics. The work highlights the need for transformation in mathematics teaching due to low performance in the Saber 5 tests in 2023, especially in this area. The implementation of UDL is proposed as a solution to eliminate learning barriers and p rovide multiple forms of representation, expression and participation, which could increase student motivation and success in mathematics. The importance of teaching support and pedagogical innovation in academic management is emphasized to improve educat ional quality and ensure that all students have equitable learning opportunities.
