| dc.description.abstract | Esta investigación se sumerge en un análisis detallado del entendimiento de los números fraccionarios entre estudiantes, explorando tanto fortalezas como debilidades. La problemática central se enfoca en las dificultades en la representación gráfica de fracciones y su repercusión en la enseñanza de las matemáticas. El objetivo principal es establecer una base sólida para validar estrategias pedagógicas específicas que aborden las deficiencias identificadas. La metodología adoptada sigue un enfoque cuantitativo, resaltando la importancia de intervenciones pedagógicas focalizadas, especialmente en áreas específicas de confusión, como el significado del numerador y el denominador. Los resultados no solo revelan los desafíos en la representación gráfica, sino también el talento generalizado de los estudiantes al aplicar conceptos de fracciones en situaciones del mundo real. Las conclusiones resaltan la necesidad de estrategias pedagógicas holísticas, que vayan más allá de las dificultades puntuales, contribuyendo al campo más amplio de la didáctica de las matemáticas. A su vez, otra investigación aborda la identificación de dificultades en estudiantes del sexto grado en la Institución Educativa Leónidas Rubio Villegas respecto a las representaciones de los números fraccionarios. Se destaca el interés en este tema debido al rápido desarrollo de las matemáticas y su utilidad en la vida profesional, influido por los recursos computacionales y la facilidad de representación verbal, escrita, simbólica y gráfica. La metodología involucró la aplicación de un pre-test como prueba piloto a 27 estudiantes del sexto grado, diagnosticando dificultades en las actividades cognoscitivas relacionadas con las representaciones de números fraccionarios. La investigación también abre la puerta a la profundización de la problemática, aspirando a contribuir con nuevas herramientas didácticas para fortalecer el proceso de enseñanza y aprendizaje de los números fraccionarios de manera contextualizada, alineadas con los lineamientos curriculares y derechos básicos de aprendizaje sugeridos por el MEN. | spa |
| dc.description.abstract | This research dives into a detailed analysis of the understanding of fractional numbers among students, exploring both strengths and weaknesses. The central problem focuses on the difficulties in the graphical representation of fractions and their impact on the teaching of mathematics. The main objective is to establish a solid basis to validate specific pedagogical strategies that address the identified deficiencies. The methodology adopted follows a quantitative approach, highlighting the importance of focused pedagogical interventions, especially in specific areas of confusion, such as the meaning of the numerator and denominator. The results not only reveal the challenges in the graphical representation, but also the widespread talent of the students in applying fraction concepts in real-world situations. The conclusions highlight the need for holistic pedagogical strategies, that go beyond the specific difficulties, contributing to the broader field of mathematics didactics. In turn, another research addresses the identification of difficulties in sixth grade students at the Leónidas Rubio Villegas Educational Institution regarding the representations of fractional numbers. The interest in this topic is highlighted due to the rapid development of mathematics and its usefulness in professional life, influenced by computational resources and the ease of verbal, written, symbolic and graphical representation. The methodology involved the application of a pre-test as a pilot test to 27 sixth grade students, diagnosing difficulties in the cognitive activities related to the representations of fractional numbers. The research also opens the door to the deepening of the problem, aspiring to contribute with new didactic tools to strengthen the teaching and learning process of fractional numbers in a contextualized way, aligned with the curricular guidelines and basic learning rights suggested by the Ministry of National Education (MEN).
