dc.description.abstract	Esta investigación se realizó con el fin de caracterizar el perfil de los y las docentes que orientan el curso cátedra de la paz, en las Instituciones educativas de la Ciudad de Ibagué. Teniendo en cuenta la naturaleza de la investigación, esta fue de corte cualitativo, tipo analítico descriptivo de carácter exploratorio. La investigación contempla tres etapas. La primera parte de una revisión documental y descripción sobre los contenidos y metodologías pedagógicas establecidas para la orientación del curso cátedra de la paz en la Institución Educativa Ismael Santofimio Trujillo, Institución Educativa Niño Jesús de Praga y Colegio Los Samanes. La segunda busca comprender y analizar las características de las prácticas pedagógicas de los y las docentes que dictan dicha cátedra en esas instituciones. Por último, la tercera etapa plantea reflexiones pedagógicas para la implementación de la cátedra de la paz. Entre los resultados que arrojó la investigación se destaca que las tres instituciones tienen un modelo pedagógico constructivista. Solo en la I. E. Niño Jesús de Praga y Colegio Los Samanes se orienta la cátedra de la paz. La I. E. Ismael Santofimio Trujillo no dicta la cátedra de la paz, pero desarrolla proyectos que promueven la cultura de paz. Se observó que las características de los y las docentes de las instituciones que orientan cátedra de paz son similares, pero se diferencian en las estrategias didácticas que implementan. dc.description.abstract	This research was realized in order to characterize the profile of teachers that orientate the course chair of peace in educational institutions from Ibagué city. Taking into account the nature of the investigation, this one was of qualitative cut, analytical descriptive type of exploratory carácter. The investigation contemplates three stages. The first stage part of a documentary review and description on the contents and pedagogical methodologies teachers’ that orientate the chair of the peace in the Educational Institution Ismael Santofimio Trujillo, Educational Institution Niño Jesús de Praga and Los Samanes School. The second stage it seeks to understand and to analyze the characteristics of the pedagogic practices teachers’ that dictate the above mentioned chair in these institutions. Finally, the third stage it raises pedagogic reflections for the implementation of the chair of the peace. Among the results of the investigation is highlighted that are outlined are that the three institutions have a pedagogic model constructivista. Only in the I.E. Niño Jesús de Praga and the Los Samanes School the chair of the peace is orientated. The I. E. Ismael Santofimio Trujillo does not dictate the chair of the peace but it develops projects that promote the culture of peace. It was possible to observe that the characteristics of the teachers’ of the institutions that orientate chair of peace are similar, but differ in the didactic strategies that implement.
