T The phase of germination is the fundamental basis to define the development of the crop and therefore the final production of cotton. To ensure that the seeds of this have an optimal germination and produce vigorous seedlings you must know the relationship that the variable have with environmental factors such as temperature and available soil water content, in addition to interaction with the internal characteristics of the seed as the electrical conductivity, the resistance to cutting of the seed coat and the viability of the seed. To develop this research evaluated five genotypes of cotton, a genetically modified variety DP – 455 BII RR, two conventional varieties: M-123 and LC – 151 and two lines of colored cotton: Brown and coffee. With these seeds conducted tests were made to determine the impact of constant temperature, the water depth in addition to tests of viability of tetrazolium, resistance to cutting of the seed coat and the electric conductivity. Temperature test genotypes were subjected to 20ºC, 25ºC, 30ºC, 35ºC, and 40ºC, and two substrates in sand and soil, using a DCA in factorial arrangement 5x2 with four repetitions, the response variables were: germination at 4 and 8 dds, Force, seedling fresh weight and percentage of dry matter. The results indicate that for the variety DP-455 the optimal temperature for its development is 30ºC substrate type of terrain, for the variety M-123 an excellent development was obtain between 20ºC and 35ºC in any substrate, also for the same genotype LC-151 the difference with the the former variety lies in the proper temperatura, since for this is 20ºC to 25ºC. For lines Brown and Coffee its behavior does not depend on the substrate, the diference between these two lines 28 is the optimal temperature for its development, since for Brown the temperature is 20ºC and for Coffee is 20ºC to 30ºC. The second test correspond to the sheet of water where these genotypes were subjected to 15ml, 20ml and 25ml, DCA was used in factorial arrangement 5x3 with four repetitions. Within this independent proof were found significant differences between the evaluated genotypes since for the case of the variety DP-455 the best germination range is between 15ml and 20ml. On another side found similarity between the varieties M-123 and LC -151 with germination optimum ranges of 20ml to 25ml, while for colored Brown and Coffee cotton lines the velocity of Germination is fo 8dds and its optimal germination is of 20ml. The tests of electric , conductivity, resistance to cutting of the seed coat and seed viability, were carried out using a DCA with four repetitions, the results of this test are correlated using the coefficient of Pearson with the porcentaje of germination and seedling vigor. It was found that it exists and indirect relation between the percentage of germination and the electric conductivity and the viability, While it is indirectly between germination percentage and seed coat cut resistance.spa
