dc.description.abstractLa presente investigación tuvo como pretensión desarrollar competencias científicas mediante el pensamiento computacional en Ciencias Naturales y Educación Ambiental, implementando un Objeto Virtual de Aprendizaje (OVA) con estudiantes de octavo grado en la Institución Educativa La Luisa. Así pues, indagar acerca de cómo los estudiantes mejoraron las competencias científicas, él manejo de TIC, el desempeño académico y los resultados en las pruebas Saber con ayuda de estas herramientas. La metodología se fundamentó en un enfoque cualitativo y cuantitativo de investigación-acción educativa ya que permitió hacer un estudio en un contexto determinado el cual se llevó a cabo en una población de 18 estudiantes. Se destaca en esta investigación el impacto positivo en el desarrollo de competencias científicas (uso comprensivo del conocimiento científico, explicación de fenómenos e indagación) que el pensamiento computacional mediado por el OVA ocasiona en los estudiantes, además de la necesidad de seguir creando herramientas tecnológicas offline y online para docentes en zonas rurales para mejorar el proceso de enseñanza-aprendizaje y también disminuir el rezago tecnológico presente en las zonas rurales.spa
dc.description.abstractThe purpose of this research was to develop scientific competencies through computational thinking in Natural Sciences and Environmental Education, implementing a Virtual Learning Object (VLO) with eighth-grade students at “Institucion Educativa La Luisa”. Thus, how students improved their scientific competencies was investigated, ICT (Information and Communication Technology) skills, academic performance, and results in the Saber tests with the help of these tools. The methodology was based on a qualitative and quantitative approach to educational action research, as it allowed for a study in a specific context that was conducted with a population of 18 students. This research highlights the positive impact on the development of scientific competencies (comprehensive use of scientific knowledge, explanation of phenomena, and inquiry) that computational thinking mediated by the VLO causes in students. Additionally, it emphasizes the need to continue creating offline and online technological tools for teachers in rural areas to enhance the teaching-learning process and reduce technological lag in rural areas.
