dc.description.abstract	La presente investigación se propone mostrar las construcciones narrativas sobre la nación y el territorio del Tolima en la segunda mitad del siglo XIX. Durante la configuración de la nación las elites utilizaron diversas estrategias narrativas a partir del uso de la Geografía, la Literatura costumbrista y la Historia como proyectos políticos y formas de representación de la población y el territorio. El énfasis se centró en las estrategias narrativas de diferenciación y clasificación de los Otros y en la interpretación de ese “Otro” a través de las tácticas que provoca en la escritura de la elite. Se buscó exponer la manera en la cual se edificó la imagen de la nación colombiana y el modo en el que se representó el territorio del Tolima.	spa
dc.description.abstract	This research aims to show the narrative constructions on the nation and the territory of Tolima in the second half of the nineteenth century. During setup of the nation elites used different narratives from the use of Geography strategies, folk literature and history as political projects and forms of representation of the population and territory. The emphasis was on the narrative strategies of differentiation and classification of the Other and the interpretation of that "other" through tactics resulting in the writing of the elite. We sought to expose the way in which the image of the Colombian nation and the way in which the territory was represented Tolima was built.
