dc.description.abstract	La mayoría de los docentes activos del sistema educativo del país, han cambiado su discurso en el sentido de aceptar la tecnología como herramienta o estrategia de enseñanza, transformando las clases en espacios: activas, prácticos, exploratorios, digitales y centradas en el estudiante (PEI, 2020). A pesar de lo anterior, algunos profesores todavía siguen demostrando resistencia y no aceptan el uso de las Tecnologías de la Información y las Comunicaciones TIC en el aula, lo que puede deberse a la falta de conocimiento sobre el uso de los recursos educativos digitales RED. Por lo anterior, la presente investigación tuvo como objetivo fortalecer la comprensión lectora en el idioma extranjero inglés sobre los estudiantes de la educación media de la Institución Educativa Nicanor Velásquez Ortiz desde la mediación de los Recursos Educativos Digitales (RED), para lo cual fue necesario aplicar el tipo o método de investigación acción pedagógica, con un enfoque de investigación mixto, es decir cualitativo y cuantitativo. Finalmente se concluyó que fue posible el fortalecimiento de la comprensión lectora en el idioma extranjero inglés sobre los estudiantes de la educación media de la Institución Educativa Nicanor Velásquez Ortiz desde la mediación de los Recursos Educativos Digitales (RED), dado que aunque no se obtuvo una gran cantidad de estudiantes que trasfieran a un nivel más alto de inglés, si se muestra como significativo que a modo general logran incrementar su comprensión lectora en el área del idioma extranjero.	spa
dc.description.abstract	The majority of active teachers in the country's educational system have changed their discourse in the sense of accepting technology as a teaching tool or strategy, transforming classes into spaces: active, practical, exploratory, digital, and student-centered (PEI, 2020). Despite the above, some teachers continue to show resistance and do not accept the use of ICT in the classroom, which may be due to a lack of knowledge about the use of digital educational resources. Therefore, the objective of this research was to strengthen the reading comprehension in the English foreign language of the secondary education students of the Nicanor Velásquez Ortiz Educational Institution through the mediation of Digital Educational Resources (RED), for which it was necessary apply the type or method of pedagogical action research, with a mixed research approach, that is, qualitative and quantitative. Finally, it was concluded that it was possible to strengthen the reading comprehension in the English foreign language among the students of the secondary education of the Nicanor Velásquez Ortiz Educational Institution through the mediation of the Digital Educational Resources (RED), given that although a large number of students who transfer to a higher level of English, if it is shown to be significant that in general they manage to increase their reading comprehension in the area of the foreign language.
