It aims to facilitate understanding and comprehension of the content addressed. It provides both novices and experienced language teachers with a wider view of its content to be applied in their day-to-day pedagogical practices. The style used by the authors is direct and straightforward. Published by © Sello Editorial Universidad del Tolima, 2020, it is important to highlight that is it the first time that a book is printed in English. The book incorporates a set of definitions about linguistic terms, examples, citations, quotes, practical questions to apply the theory are found in “Reflections” and “Projects.” It also addresses the authors' critical positions and the analyses of outstanding issues in linguistics, applied linguistics, and pedagogy in “The Pedagogy of Language.” It also contains a couple of Appendices about “The Pedagogy of the Four Language Skills” and “The Pedagogy of the Three Language Sub-Skills” to help teachers to become acquainted with some theory and practical ideas on how to use them in their language teaching contexts and settings. The book serves various academic purposes for educators, experienced, and unexperienced language teachers, or anyone interested in grasping some knowledge in the fields of language, linguistics, applied linguistics, language teaching, language learning. To conclude, it can be said that it is informative and easy to read as a source of guidance for educators in the fields of linguistics for language teaching.
