En este estudio se examina el papel de la huerta urbana en la transformación del desarrollo socio-afectivo y participativo de los niños que presentan NEE y que forman parte de la educación formal evidenciando que fortaleciendo esta dimensión como estrategia de enseñanza los estudiantes se motivan a realizar diversas actividades a través de los trabajos grupales; siendo este acompañamiento el punto clave de su aprendizaje y descubrimiento de habilidades que le permitirán desenvolverse a lo largo de su vida promoviendo lazos de amistad, apoyo familiar y aportando a la conservación del medio ambiente. La huerta ofrece diversos beneficios tanto en el aspecto ambiental y alimenticio como también la oportunidad de reestructurar el comportamiento de los miembros de la institución educativa el pradito generando acciones de sensibilización como la ayuda, la responsabilidad, el trabajo conjunto, la participación y la socialización desde el punto de vista afectivo. La huerta urbana como proceso logro romper las barreras para el aprendizaje aportando enseñanzas que facilitan la interiorización del conocimiento, adaptando fácilmente a los estudiantes a ambientes de conocimiento naturales, refuerzo de sus relaciones para una vida más agradable en sociedad y brindando oportunidades a través del fortalecimiento de los talentos para la siembra y recolección de vegetales tanto en el colegio como en casa. Es así que este proyecto marca concretamente la trasformación, adaptación y aceptación de una población a las condiciones biológicas y sociales que nos ofrece el contexto en el que vivimos de manera positiva en pro de una educación para todos.
