ABSTRACT. Using the technique of molecular markers microsatellites were characterized 50 accessions of Solanum tuberosum, of which 48 genotypes in previous studies showed some level of resistance to the Guatemalan moth bioassays Tecia solanivora in Biological Development and Severity Election not and 2 commercial genotypes highly susceptible field and bioassays. The analysis was performed with 7 microstatélites that were polymorphic in Solanum phureja in Ospina's study (2008) and 27 alleles were obtained which were fed a binary data matrix of presence / absence. Statistical analysis was performed using the UPGMA (Weighted Pair Group Method Using Arithmetic Average) clustering method. Also crosses were made between materials susceptible and resistant genotypes looking to be as divergent as possible at the molecular level to include them as parents in breeding programs seeking to provide resistance to insect pest Tecia solanivora.
